Deuteronomy 6:6 – 7, written to the fathers of the nation of Israel is still the expectation for us as dads today, “These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” The clear expectation is that we know the words and can explain them. Further that we naturally integrate instruction on and about the Word into common everyday events. The challenge is most of us need some help in figuring out how to do that.
You will leave this workshop having been exposed to and engaged in using a set of tools. The purpose of those tools is to help you experience Christ more fully in the Word of God. From that experience you will be more effective in leading your families in their relationship with Christ. Why, because it will come out of your personal interaction with the Lord. That is much more effective and impactful than sharing someone else’s experiences.
